Victoria Beckham installs £30k court to ‘turn Romeo into David Beckham of tennis’

Victoria Beckham has installed a £30,000 tennis court built at the family’s Cotswold mansion in the hope of turning son Romeo into the ‘David Beckham of tennis’.

Romeo, 16, now has no excuse not to put the hours of practise in to become the next Andy Murray, as the full-size court has been built in the gardens of the family’s £6m house in the country.

And his mum is reportedly dead set on turning her already talented son into the next big thing.

“The Oxfordshire property has always been David’s pet project, Victoria has shown very little interest and been quite resistant about having it at all in the past,” a source told the Daily Mail .

“But now she sees it as a great place for Romeo to spend the summer holiday playing tennis. She wants him practising as much as possible and will hire in coaches to train him.

“David is on board with the plan to make Romeo a star, but it is Victoria who is the driving force.’

When in London, Romeo plays at the elite Queen’s tennis club, as Victoria paid £12,000 so he could skip the waiting list.

He has previously played with British number two Kyle Edmund, and he’s also posted pictures of himself on social media with other tennis stars including players Simona Halep and Caroline Wozniacki.
